My Coaching Philosophy

Coaching concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.

I believe that coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses, and organizations.  Through coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

For the past nine years, I have been an active member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and have played a local leadership role in this organization.  The ICF is considered by many the preeminent coaching organization with over 10,000 members throughout the world.

I honor each client as an expert in his or her life and work. I believe that each client is creative, resourceful, and whole.  I believe that it is my responsibility to help my clients to:

• Discover, clarify, and align their lives with what each client wants to achieve
• Encourage self-discovery
• Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
• Hold themselves responsible and accountable
• Generously share my knowledge, expertise, and resources, gained by working with over 1,000 clients over the past dozen years

As a professional coach, I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical obligation to my coaching clients, colleagues, and to the general public.  I pledge to comply with the ICF Code of Ethics, to treat people with dignity as independent and equal human beings, and to model these standards in my professional and personal lives.
